First licensed in 1952, joined the Dade Radio Club of Miami the same year. Have held ARRL and Club positions continuously since that date. Several 'firsts' (credit for these opportunities go to all my fellow licensees and supporters). I was the first woman to attend an ARRL Board Meeting, served 22 years. Chairman of the Tropical Hamboree for 45 years. Have enjoyed all phases of amateur radio...Contesting, DXing, Transmitter Hunting, Traffic Nets, etc. and settled into my Main Interest--Public Service; where I continue to be as active as health and age will allow. Presently hold appointments as VE, VI, EmComm, Traffic Net Control, spokesperson for ARRL Info Net, SFL ASM and am an ARRL Honorary Vice President, all of which I humbly cherish. 73, W4WYR
